About & Contacts.
My name is Natalia Nik (Nikulina). I’m an artist and illustrator based in Russia, Moscow.
I've always had a passion for art — drawing, painting, and illustrating.
After earning my Master's degree as an artist-stylist (faculty of applied arts in Moscow, 2000), I worked as a graphic designer, art director, and illustrator in an advertising company. Also, I had a long experience as a freelance in the same fields.
In 2020 I got an MFA degree (Cum Lauder) in illustration (Children's Book Emphasis) at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
During my art career, I've exhibited my artworks worldwide, participate in exhibitions s and contests. I think it's a huge opportunity to share my art, and It's inspiring me to work further as an artist and illustrator.
I love to create charming, cute, and sensitive illustrations. I use a combination of watercolor, color pencils with a slightly digital touch. As well, I love to draw digitally. My art style can be described as playful, sweet whimsical, and represents an optimistic perspective on life.
Now I work on my personal picture book projects but always open to art collaborations as an artist and illustrator.
